Does anyone know how tyo change the admin rights to be able to use this drive… I’ve tried going thru the services tab, unlocking the drive thru the info button and nothing works

Drive failed twice. Lost my data both times. Reformatted it a few times. Still unable to read or erase contents. Returning for a replacement. Hopefully it was just that one drive because I have multiple drives from WD.

I retired an 8 TB Seagate SATA hard drive. I didn’t think I would miss it, but then I thought about needing to back up more. I already had this 4TB model. After four years, it’s 100% healthy, and the possible time left was still substantial. I’ve favored Seagate but have had sudden failures with them. Western Digitals have never died and are in excellent health. Six TB is what I wanted, and it’s working fine. Enjoy.

大容量で分散していたファイルをひとまとめに出来る安定感は良い
面白いのは5年前に購入した2.5 2TのHDDと同一ファームでスペックも同一
厚みが3倍なので建て増しのHDDだと分かる事、枯れた技術は安定感はあるが期待する新要素はない
※温度に関しては冬でフルアクセス48度と問題ないが夏だとどうなるか？

Deklarowana pojemnosc dysku, to nie jest 6TB tylko 5,45T (wlasnie podłaczyłem nowiutki pod Windows) – to jest ponad 500GB mniej niz sie spodziewalem ! To wiecej niz 10% deklarowanej pojemnosci.

The WD External Hard Drive is one I highly recommend. It has more storage than I will probably ever use. But it is there if I need it. I can store all my files and have them in a safe place, if my computer breaks down.
