After extensively testing the smart lock for my front door, I’m absolutely blown away by how it’s transformed my home security into something straight out of a sci-fi movie. We chose this lock over others since it has a few more features than its competitors. The installation was fairly straightforward & we love the design & look of the lock. Unfortunately, none of the features work in the app. For example the live camera view or the remote unlock. Once they work out the kinks, then I believe this lock will be a great buy. As of Jan/2025 I would suggest that you keep looking.

I’ve installed several of this sort of lock without issue. While I like the features and appearance of this particular lock, I had one very specific issue – when connecting the wifi antenna, the wire in the center of the connector was bent to the side and got worse the more I worked to get it plugged in. As I am very visually impaired, I had to enlist help to even confirm my suspicion. Eventually I was able to use a 000 slotted screwdriver to pry the wire close enough to position to get it plugged in. My other complaint is the bluetooth/wifi configuration. I was unable to find anything in the documentation that told me to press and hold the lock/unlock button on the inside panel to initiate that configuration (I found this after about an hour of video watching on screwtube. Other, similar locks from other manufacturers have an option in the configuration/settings menu to configure wifi. In the end, I did get it configured but it is not configured in the app that controls the rest of my home automation. When my patience recovers, I will try a reset and see if the other s/w works. This lock also has features I do not have on any of the other locks, like human detection. It’s a good lock but some s/w and design upgrades would be really nice.

This smart lock is a huge quality-of-life improvement. Setup and installation could be done by anybody with even just basic DIY inclinations and was not at all intimidating. Once setup, being able to unlock your door without the need for a physical key add an awesome level of convenience to a daily routine. I do like that there is a physical slot for a backup key as a just-in-case. Having codes that could be controlled for guest access is another convenience feature which I probably won’t use often, but when I “need” it I will be super glad to have that option. Lastly, I love the idea of having a camera built in to my lock and not needing yet another separate device as a dedicated front door camera. Overall, this is a feature-rich door lock that is a great upgrade for anyone’s home.

We recently purchased this Smart Lock to replace our front door lock as a recommendation by one of our friends. I can really appreciate how straightforward the installation was. As outlined in the picture, there are manual instructions, video instructions, and even paper templates provided. This made installing very easy. I can also appreciate the quality of the equipment and how the technology is actually responsive. We had an old lock that was absolutely frustrating to use so this is a nice upgrade. Our biggest need for a smart lock is so that we can issue out temporary codes to our dog sitters and not worry about strangers have our door code. This is a great investment for our home security!
