Recommended by a friend who worked for a car dealership for years, the Car Polish by Nu Finish in liquid form was used on my vehicle following the use of a clay bar kit. The results were amazing! The car’s clearcoat was smooth and the glossy shine was really eye-catching. A 15-year-old vehicle looked like new after using this stuff, and according to my friend, I should only have to use it once a year.
The liquid polish is easier to use than the cream (in my opinion) and it takes very little to get an area of the car covered. I put a small amount on a damp cloth to put it on my vehicle. Removing it with a soft microfiber cloth is also easy after it dries to a light haze. It’s easy to see on dark-colored paint, but I struggled to see it on light-gray paint. It will also adhere to dark trim, so take care when using it next to that on your vehicle.
I did small areas and let them dry before rubbing the product off. I was pleasantly surprised by the glossy shine left behind, and the paint didn’t feel greasy, sticky or waxy – just smooth.
We have not yet had wet weather, nor have I washed the vehicle since using this product, but I expect it will hold up well (again, according to my friend). I’m happy I purchased it and used it. It was easy to put on and remove and worked as expected.
I would recommend it to others who are looking for a product that protects the clearcoat on their paint while adding a glossy shine.

Money wasted.

NuFinish works well to protect the paint work on cars that are parked outside all of the time. Just make sure you don’t leave the polish on too long before polishing off otherwise you need to use a lot of elbow grease to polish it off.

I discovered Nu Finish in 2004 and have been using it on my cars ever since. The application process really is as simple and painless as they say, and the results are great.
Now, if you don’t know, polish is not the same thing as wax, but it’s meant to solve the same problems. Wax is a natural substance and it’s meant to protect the paint and finish of your car while adding a lustrous shine. Wax tends to have what people would call a “deep” shine, like you’re looking into the color. Polish, on the other hand, is typically a synthetic compound, and it trades that deep lustrous shine for greatly increased performance. Wax tends to wear off fairly quickly and it doesn’t do a great job of protecting your car from UVs and chemicals. Polish, on the other hand can last for an extraordinarily long time. Nu Finish claims one year and 52 washes, but I’ve always found that I need to apply every six months. It gives your car a more mirrored shine, so you don’t really feel like you’re looking inward at the paint, but it does look great, and it absolutely protects the car. Makes washing off the salt and schlep from winter a lot easier, too.
Why only four stars, then? Well, if you have any black plastic on your car, say around your wipers, or your washer fluid nozzle, or your fender flares, or bumper, or… well… you get the picture. If you get Nu Finish on that stuff, it’s going to turn it white-gray for a long time, so you have to use 3M painter’s tape to cover that stuff up, or you’re going to have a bad time. This is much less an issue on some cars than others, but it can be a bit of a pain. Either way, though, it’s worth it, and it’ll help keep your car’s paint job in better shape for a long time to come.

Besides polishing the car’s paint. This product could also be used as an amazing water repellent on glass surfaces.
1. Clean your windshield (or glass surface)
2. Remove fine dirt and oils using a clay bar
3. Coat the windshield with Nu Finish and let it dry (10-20 min)
4. Then wipe it off and buff it with a microfiber cloth.
5. (Optional) repeat steps 3 and 4 for an even more effective result.

if you start with oxidation free and no clear coat and paint damage, and a clean no water spot body, then you get excellent results that last a pretty long time. They key to success is to have a perfectly clean no wax no coating body to work with. Follow the instructions.. This is not a classic wax. apply with a damp clean cloth, one section at a time. Minimal rubbing. Just move the rag around loosely so the polish is applied evenly with no “holidays”. The let it dry to a haze. DO NOT APPLY HEAVILY AND DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY HARD. A light coat and then let it dry to a haze. It’s best to do this in a garage and not in direct sunlight. Once that small section goes to a haze, then with another clean soft cloth, wipe this excess haze off. There is no need to buff to remove. I would not recommend using a buffing wheel or anything mechanized …just manual with light elbow grease. I’ve used this for over 30 years on all kinds of cars and trucks and boats and trailers and equipment. It is good stuff and last a long time. It is a good bargain too. One bottle will be just enough to do a full sized truck. I would not recommend storing this in the garage or heat. I keep it is an air controlled part of the house, like laundry room. Like most polishes it will separate or harden over time in high and low temperatures.

I bought this Nu Finish wax in November 2021, but didn’t use it until January 2025. It’s great! I watched a few YouTube videos to learn how to apply the product. I’m glad I did. I applied a thin layer of the wax to a small area and then buffed each section. I probably didn’t do this sooner because it is a lot of work, but yesterday I was motivated to get it done. My car looks great and the end result makes me look forward to the next application.
