I have to say this faucet looks better in person than the picture. It is very well built, all metal and is heavy. What really caught my attention was the modern elegant look. It is not the traditional round faucet. The matte black was the perfect match. It was very well packed and it came with all the necessary pieces to be installed. Be aware about something that happened to me won’t happen to you. This model S75005EV2BL actually comes with the power adapter there is no need to purchase one. I read the reviews from the previous model and that was something people were griping about purchasing a separate power adapter since the previous model only came with the battery pack. Not even in the technical details where it says included components they don’t mention the power supply. I ended up purchasing one, then months later when I finally installed the faucet I came to find out this model does bring the power adapter and the battery pack. It also comes with two handles, black and gold,
Installation was very simple and the instructions were easy to follow. The pull out sprayer handle is long and the spray switch is very responsive. All you need is a finger to pull out the sprayer from the housing. Setting it up with the moen app was easy as well. Faucet will work either by waiving the hands or using the handle. Honestly I don’t touch the handle for anything. It will take you some time getting used to the hand gestures. It is something different. After you master it, you will find yourself waiving your hands at every other faucet LOL. To be honest I really love the idea of the hand gesture. It is very hygienic since you don’t need to touch the faucet, especially with wet hands. If you have both of your hands occupied you can use your forearm. Something to mention is that the sensor is very sensitive. There will be sometimes when it triggers if you wave something close to it.
The voice control works for the most part. I use Google assistant and sometimes when I request a specific amount of water it just keeps running. But the on/off functions work like a charm. The moen app is also easy to use and it has a lot of useful information about the faucet such as the amount of water that has been used daily or monthly. You can also create custom presets which can be very useful especially if you like your water to a specific temperature.
This faucet may be expensive but overall it is worth every penny in my opinion. Is modern, smart, easy to install and hygienic. Is very well built so you know it will last for a long time.
