This headset, if you get a functioning unit, is only really good for one use case: Seated experiences with your own headphones, not using the controllers.
When I got this headset, I saw reviews that the speaker quality wasn’t up to par, but it was remedied by the headphone jack and included earbuds. That was a lie, as the buit-in DAC for the headphones had an incredibly high noise floor, where all I could hear while playing was static with a hint of the game’s audio.
While playing, I noticed the controller tracking was not up to par either. I play Beat Saber, and the entire time I attempted to play it the controllers were lagging behind my actual hand position by a good margin, making the game unplayable.
If you are looking into this headset, I’d recommend staying as far away from it as possible. You would get a better, and cheaper, PCVR experience getting a Quest 2, a better headstrap, and either a link cable or a WiFi 6 router.

Thank god I have found a headset that’s playable because it’s tethered and it’s nice to be able to just plug it in and get on all day whenever you feel like it. We need more options like this so that users like me don’t have to buy a standalone and have it constantly dying all the time.
But I Know E4 Black is the big winner here. Hopefully DPVR keeps making tethered headsets since not many companies nowadays are. Once this thing is available it’s goodbye for Reverb G2
by Do not buy this, just get the adapter Sony makes.
I had this VR for about 2 months. The graphics and comfort are both acceptable, the tracking is sub par, but most importantly, the display aquired a terrible white flashing around the perimiter of view. Then, when I used the apps display fix feature, all it did was create a separate anomaly in the center of view.

I have a modern system with an ASUS TUF 4090. That being said, there should be ZERO issues. Main issue is setup and getting it to detect the display port. It will randomly detect it whenever it feels like. Maybe they made the cable too long and you need a DP repeater? Anyway, I refuse to buy one in order to make this thing work. If it require a dp repeater, it should come with it.

Was really looking forward to getting into VR.
Pros
Easy to hook up and connect
Comfortable head straps
Great screens
Cons
8 days in, colored horizontal lines in display, reached out to support via the app, no response
11 days in, fails to connect any longer, fresh reinstall of windows and graphic card drivers… still the same
App is intrusive, as in if it cannot connect, it tells you every 2 minutes or so, even if you close out of the app entirely, you need to close the app out in task manager completely or it just continues.
I received the headset June 16th or so, returning on July 3rd, for something costing over $500.00 its disappointing

OK here is my experience with this headset, it may be different for you.
One detail to note, I never powered up the headset to check out graphics and etc. and this is why .. I couldn’t get it comfortable on my face. When I first unboxed it and picked it up I was so excited at the lightweight feel of the headset and that it had an adjustable hardstrap. However, when I put it on all the weight lay squarely on the bridge of my nose. The top strap is elastic rubber and has 3 adjustments .. I thought one of them would relieve the weight. Not really. The other design flaw is that the cushion for the back of the head where the adjustable wheel is sits too far up, making the headset slide forward onto the nose even more and not feeling secure. Trying to compensate by tightening the wheel puts a lot of pressure on the forehead causing a lot of discomfort. The gasket is far from substantial like a foam interface would be, and let in a lot of light from the side, at least for me. So without even turning the headset on I’ll have to return it unfortunately. It can be a great product if they fix these problems, I love that it’s lightweight.

What an amazing decision I made buying this product, easy to install, use and have fun.

After a while of play, the headset will start to heat up and when it reaches a certain temperature the remotes will start to have trouble tracking. Doesn’t bother me too much because by that time I have probably been in VR long enough anyway, but it is something that stops it from being a “perfect” product.
Slightly small on my comically oversized head, but still comfortable even while wearing glasses underneath it.
Easy to install and use, with controllers that feel quite nice in the hand. I don’t play in 4k so I don’t know what to say about that but I haven’t had any issues visually, no matter what I throw at it.
