The good: I installed the transmitter on my mailbox, and was able to receive the signal through trees, a fence, my neighbors house, and the wall of my house 150 yards away.
The bad: the mounting options for the transmitter and receiver have not been thought through.

I connected a reed switch in the mailbox and wired it to the NC connections of the transmitter. I mounted a magnet to the door of the mailbox.
I first attempted to mount the transmitter on the bottom of my metal mailbox flush against the bottom, the way it would be mounted if you used the included mount. While I could see the blue LED in the button lighting up on the transmitter, the receiver got nothing.
I 3D printed a new mount that held the transmitter at a 40 degree angle to the bottom of the mailbox, effectively moving the antenna bout 1.5″ from the metal of the mailbox. This new design worked.

Mounting the receiver had its own problems. the screw slots on the back look like they are designed for pan head screws, but no pan head screw will fit in that slot as the head is too thick. The only type of screw that will fit is a flat head screw.
For some reason, they chose to put the power connection on the bottom of the receiver, rather than the back. This means that one can not conceal the wires when mounting the receiver.
One would want to mount this high on a wall, like a doorbell, but unfortunately, the power cable is not long enough to reach from a wall outlet near the floor.

I am happy that I was able to get this to work, but not happy about how it looks.

I installed it as a mailbox alarm. It took a little playing, but I got it hooked up. I attached the transmitter to a post used to hold the mailbox and attached a line about half-way up the mailbox door. The line has the magnet and some extra weight to allow it slide up and down by the transmitter as the door is opened/closed. My mailbox is about 800 feet from the house and being the mail often now is not delivered until 7 – 8 pm, I don’t enjoy making the hike to the mailbox in the dark and when it is cold. Now I don’t have to make multiple trips to the mailbox when I expect important mail. I am only 83 years old. But I am pleased with how it works along with the gate alarm I also installed.

Bought for the workplace since we have an entrance that’s on the other side of our 8000 square foot warehouse. The doorbell works fine but the door sensor does not work at all. A little disappointing.

when adding a second transmitter you need to go to step one, not 3 and 4. That is for any additional transmitters.
