Durability: comes with very very powerful magnetic case that keeps it safe.
Battery Life: much better than previous version
Ease of use: download the app, paid for your monthly subscription, and I have a GPS tracker on my phone.
Accuracy: this is very accurate, being able to be checked up to 5 – 10 seconds of perfection
Price: none of these are as cheap as they should be with servcie…. He takes $20 a month for GPS only. You can get any smartphone, with a prepaid provider for $25 a month and get internet voice, data, and text. The fact that they are just using a SIM card for GPS makes $20 per month steep
Versus the competition: I have always used to Tracki and I think this is a similar price with the subscription and advice, with very similar accuracy, destiny different platform and interface. It also has better battery life
The prior version of Optimus is the best price for what you get, but the battery life is less and tracki he has more options. I simply looking for accuracy and price, not battery life, you don’t this new version. However, has a one-time purchase I don’t see why you wouldn’t catch the one with the best battery life since tracking often poses a challenge when it comes to keeping it charged

It is not accurate enough and the battery last no more than a week

I purchased this not knowing anything about tracking devices. The product arrived next day and took a very short time to charge. The magnet is VERY strong and I put it under the vehicle. You can tweak the settings to optimize battery usage. The accuracy is very good. At times is was slightly off but eventually corrected itself and I have not found it to be an issue. I wasn’t sure what to expect but after comparing like products and reading reviews it seemed like this was an excellent choice and I couldn’t agree more. Does what it says. There is a small subscription fee of $10 a month but it’s worth it. If my car gets stolen I will have no problem finding it.

Compared to “professional” $2000 models, this does the same thing.
This has been installed for 10 days on my son’s vehicle (inside the trunk) and still has 90% battery life.
In my line of work I’m not supposed to recommend services, however if you own anything you want to be able to recover quickly, I would highly recommend this.
$20 a month for the service.
-you can change the settings from 10 minutes to 3 seconds
-you can set up a geofence
-you can set up speed alerts
-you can set motion alerts
-you can view travel patterns
All this is done with the app which is super user friendly, and you receive text messages for the alerts..
I would NOT recommend the hard wired models as they will cut these out before they steal it.

For$39 it works great, plus $19 a month for subscription. My only issue is the accuracy is not perfect. It can be off by a few hundred feet when sitting. Signal is obviously bouncing. However when moving on the street it seems pretty close to correct. I suggest the 10 second update when tracking a moving object/ person. This gives the best route history and actual cornering. Otherwise it cuts off the corners due to lack of updates. Overall I’m very impressed. Comes with a nice weather proof magnetic case for attaching to a metal object (car). Battery life seems good so far. Mine has been on for a week and still shows 100%.

Size
It’s a tiny box, 3.5x2x2 inches, Inside a very well-sealed weatherproof box. Magnets are oversized and very powerful. Most of the weight is from magnets. Itself, the unit weighs mere grams.
App
When vehicle parked for extended periods, I instruct it to update location every 30 mins. This makes the battery last about 3 months. Even though setting is 30 min, it won’t really update unless vehicle moves. “Last seen 55 min ago.” But, it does auto-update location if vehicle starts moving, and it will actually continue to update every 25-30 min on that setting.
GPS accuracy
Depends on where you install it. Clear view of sky or not? Big City with lots of tall buildings or countryside? Overall, accuracy is as good as your mobile phone would be.
Under vehicle, precision is about 100-200 feet.
In the truck bed, covered by plastic liner, 3 foot super-accuracy.
In the glovebox, under dash, about 40-50 feet.
Under plastic bumpers, about 20-30 feet.
Inside door pockets, or anywhere inside vehicle, about 10 feet. But then thieves can see it too.
Battery
When the kids take the vehicle, I set it on 5 min updates, but battery lasts <2 weeks then.
I like that it charges to full battery in ~90 min, through a regular USB-C port.
Rugged
It has so far survived two 130F summers and zero degree winters, car washes, mud, ice, rains, dust. It doesn’t fall off when you go off-road. Magnets are really oversize and really really strong.
Overall great product, It does what it should. Have had it for about a year now, without issues.
I thought about using a cheap mobile phone, but then you’d constantly have to connect it to a charging cable. Doubt you’d get 3 months battery from a cell phone. Phone is not as rugged as this device to survive heat, freeze, humidity, etc.
