I’m enjoying the faucet. Although I am not happy that I have to have an app for the faucet. It should work with OR without having to download an app. I tried to install it without and low and behold the Moen app is mandatory. Not a drop would come out until I got the app up and running. Additionally the instructions in the manual are outdated and call out an app that no longer exists in the Google play store. I rolled the dice and installed another Moen app (there are about 6 to chose from) and got lucky. The faucet works. It’s pretty and functional but I don’t care to recieve messages on my phone and emails stating the “device is lost” which occurs once a week. This is technology that has gone too far imho and Moen would do well to make app optional like past models (this is my 2nd Moen sense faucet and the first did not require an app). Overall, I am pleased with the functionality of the faucet and the sensor performs reliably which is why I purchased it.

This is a beautiful large faucet. I bought in black mat. Looks great in my modern kitchen..very easy to install

Installed in our Kitchen replacing a “Franke” Faucet. Install went good, & it performs better than the Franke

We wanted this in black matte to match our kitchen style but were initially concerned that it would require a lot of cleaning as opposed to a lighter colour or polished but we were really wrong and so surprised to learn that this matte colour is a win-win and actually requires MUCH less cleaning compared to all the regular polished faucets we ever had before and still have in our bathrooms or utility room. Very happy with our purchase and yes it’s expensive but looks amazing!!! The system of this faucet is also great and its versatility (i.e. high pressure spray head and switch) is hidden for an additional stylish look. I am normally cheap but in this case no buyers remorse or afterthought. WILL DO IT AGAiN for other rooms.

I ordered black stainless. The colour is not what the photo portrays. It is actually a
Shiny black (as if spray painted glossy black) not what one thinks of as black stainless. Otherwise it is elegant (in form)and functional
, just not worth the premium price. Had to install it anyway as a functional fixture was urgently needed for upcoming event. Plumber installed in 15 minutes.
In sum, it’s ‘Nice’, just somewhat disappointing.

Design is the the main reason why we bought this. It has a bit of a unique look to it. Didn’t want one of those industrial looking, spring mounted faucets. We have a modern home and this fits the aesthetic well. Build quality seems good. Everything looks sturdy and the handle feels well made. Also comes with a stainless steel colored handle and a black handle that you can swap out depending on preference. The only design issue I have is with the hose. I wouldn’t say it’s difficult to use, but it’s not as easy to grab as most faucets. It’s recessed within the faucet and there’s a little tab that sticks out the back of the end of the faucet head that you have to pull on to pull out the hose, which sits recessed within the faucet head. This is good, because you can’t see the hose when it’s retracted. The hose’s nozzle head is black plastic, which I don’t love, but it seems sturdy enough.

Wanted a touchless faucet – this delivers on that and is easy to use. I wasn’t sure about the position of the sensor above the nozzle, rather than near the base of the faucet, but I don’t mind using it at all and rarely use the hand lever, unless I want to change the temp of the water. You can set the default temp of water that comes out with touchless activation – which is a nice feature.

Installation is super easy as far as the plumbing goes.

Wifi integration – this was a little trickier and took a few tries. In the end we needed to press the WPS button on our router to get it to connect – despite entering the password on the app for the faucet – which is not the case for any other “smart” device I have used. Usually, if you enter the password and have the netword ID, it will just connect. Not so for this faucet. Needed to also activate WPS on the router. The directions on the app don’t suggest trying WPS mode. We explicitly followed the directions 3 times and failed to connect before having the idea to try WPS.

Great pressure. You can switch between spray mode and stream mode as well as a high pressure mode. If anything the default pressure is higher than I’d like and you have to be careful not to spray water everywhere when using it to wash some items. I don’t see a way to adjust the pressure using the app. That would be a nice feature. Pressure is adjustable on the manual lever, however, when using touchless, it comes out at the default pressure.

There is also a feature that will turn on a trickle of water to protect against freezes, which will engage if your sink cabinet temp falls below a certain threshold (though I don’t know what the temp is at which it will kick in)

Speaking of the manual lever, there is a slight delay when using this because it’s essentially a digital control device and electronically controls the valve for the water flow. It is not as easy to adjust flow and temp as on an old-fashioned faucet. The range of pressure is not as wide. You can’t turn on just a trickle using the manual control.

This faucet looks great and works well. If there was a model that didn’t include the smart home voice integration and was a few hundred dollars cheaper (on par with other faucets that are touchless but not connected to your wifi) I would absolutely opt for that instead. I don’t find the voice control very useful, thought I do like the ability to set the default water temp. It is a fun novelty to show people that your faucet can dispense 47 ml of water at exactly 105 degrees F, but since we don’t have a filter attached to our sink, and don’t usually use the faucet for drinking or cooking (especially when running hot water), this is not of much use.

Make sure you get the AC adapter if you don’t want to run off batteries (sold separately and also quite expensive for an AC adapter) but probably worth it.

I would buy it again because it works well and looks great – but was willing to pay mainly for the appearance. If appearance is secondary to you, I think there are faucets that are less expensive with similar features. If you are just looking for a touchless faucet, you can probably find something good for almost half the price of this.

I’m a good DIY person but plumbing is my weak spot. I was smiling as my pro plumber buddy was cursing during the remove and replace process. It was $80 well spent on the install!

It took the pro plumber about 45 minutes to install this faucet. but he ran into issues removing the old faucet, not the fault of the new faucet.

The plastic wrench that comes with this Moen faucet
(see photo) was about 4 inches too short for my application. That made the install more troublesome but the plumber figured it out. Your install time may vary. See photo of the light gray plastic wrench.

This is a 1.5gpm faucet with a “power” button on the sprayer that increases water flow temporarily. The Moen faucet has 1/4 inch supply lines. See the video for the up close view of the spray head functions and faucet in action.

My 14 year old Danze faucet had 3/8 supply lines and had more robust water pressure than the new Moen but the Danze also sprayed water everywhere. The new Moen is more controllable pressure wise and it looks a lot better than the Danze.

Initially, there was big difference between hot and cold water pressure. I pulled the cartridge and found manufacturing debris on the hot side. Once I cleared that out, water pressure was even.

The faucet hose retraction works well and there is an adjustable counterweight on that hose that can be moved to lengthen or shorten the amount of hose you can pull from the faucet.

The Moen comes with a black plastic sleeve that can go over the chrome just above the sprayer head that can be added with a black and silver handle. The faucet comes stock with an all silver handle. See photo.

I paid $300 including tax for this faucet on a deal from Amazon Warehouse. The faucet was new and untouched when it arrived. The faucet is worth what I paid for It but it would pain me pay $600+ for this faucet based of all the plastic inside.

I got a great price on this Moen kitchen faucet and even with the $80 I paid for professional installation, I’m still about $250 ahead of the varying price for this faucet. Hope this review helps!
