This faucet is ridiculously complex to put together. We have installed many touch faucets, but this is both painfully tedious with nontraditional steps and its directions are horrendous.
And, touch barely works.
I have had far better touch performance from faucets that cost 1/4 the price.
Yes, this is brass and steel, but the lack of workable touch after going through a painful installation is unacceptable. We have adjusted the senstivity for touch and still ran into problems. If I touch it, it wont go on, but if I literally WALK BY the sink, it goes on – but there’s no motion detector. If i lean on the sink it goes on and then off again right way. We’ve adjusted this setting over and over – it’s stunningly unpredictable.
It doesn’t have automatic shut off. Every other touch faucet we have owned has turned off after a minute or so.
We’re returning it because of the lack of its main feature to us – touch!

Great looking Kitchen Faucet but not so easy to install and use. Main water-flow is low, however, there are two more options with high pressure water flow. Touch single handle pull down feature worked in the beginning but then stopped. Have to call a good plumber (not so easy in Hawaii to find a plumber who understand all its features). You have to get use to it, really! Technique is truly awesome, well it’s ‘German Made’.
Its the most complicated faucet my plumber has ever installed!

As has been written by others, the directions are not very good, just cartoon pictures that really do not tell you what to do. For the price charged, over $500, I expect a five star faucet that is well designed and well manufactured. This unit is overly complicated compared to competitors with way too many parts. Mine didn’t work, would not shut off. I spent about 2 hours installing it and another 2 hours trying to get it to work; a waste of time. Tried contacting Grohe support, but never got a reply. Their website has a banner lamenting how overwelled they are. Judging from the quality of this product I can see why. The body ands spout looks nice above the counter with great styling, but the parts below the counter are really cheap plastic. The electrical connections seem to be the biggest problem, low quality spade connections that do not attach solidly. The electrical attachment to the valve box and to the underside of the faucet really appear to be an engineering afterthought. I just don’t get the idea about grounding the unit to the sink, since the sink itself isn’t grounded to anything. The copper tape fell off after about 10 minutes. I expect that most of the problems that other people describe having are probably due to intermittent electrical connections. Mine was probably a defective electronic valve stuck in the open position.
Replaced this with the Moen unit and am very happy with that. It took about 45 minutes to install and worked perfectly. Thank you Amazon for your wonderful return policy.

I got a similar “Euro” kitchen faucet setup several years ago in another house we sold in 2020. It was difficult to install, and required head replacement a couple of times due to lime build up. Although no longer made in Germany (now Ch*na), it still seems like pretty good quality and they have improved the installation by routing the hot/cold supply lines through a common tube. The head has three stream modes – soft laminar water flow with no aeration, a spray mode, and a high-pressure spray mode. It defaults to the laminar flow, which works fine for me and exhibits some interesting flow properties.
With the features and quality construction, this beat anything I could find in the big box stores. If you have hard water, I would recommend you buy a spare head or two as they are hard to get once the faucet goes out of production..

I replaced a 22-year old Ladylux Cafe faucet with this Zedra Faucet. The old faucet was leaking under the sink from the base. The new faucet was a snap to install….no reading required…..just pictures, like IKEA! The toughest part was replacing the frozen turn off valves under the sink. These looked like something from an archeological expedition….lots of crusty things…..yuk! Do yourself a favor here and use all-metal quarter turn angle valves….and ‘exercise’ them once a year by turning off and on a few times.
The best feature on the Zedra is the three spray options. The fan spray to clear food from dishes feels like having a pressure washer at your sink….very nice…..but be careful with your aim! Only downside so far is when you turn off the faucet, the spout drips for about 30 seconds…..probably draining out from the three-way spray apparatus. Still, for almost $400, I would expect the water to stop as soon as turn off the faucet…..just like the old LadyLux did. This is my primary reason for the 4-star rating. Also, you may have to adjust where you place the hose weight. I followed the instructions, but there was not enough ‘pull’ to retract the sprayer…probably due to the plumbing arrangement under my sink..so I moved it about 6″ closer to the sprayer end of the hose and it works fine.

Beautiful taps 3rd spray function is super powerful love it, only challenge is installation, new locking mechanism we don’t like as was hard to secure to the counter, only when we took out spacers did it finally work now secure so you do have to experiment with install , nice faucet once installed
