20 years ago when I used to work out like crazy, these kind of pants were called spandex. Now that I’m back into working out again they call them yoga pants or compression pants or whatever they are called. But I’ve recently bought several brands of “compression” pants and these right here are the closest I’ve found to traditional spandex pants.

I have a serious bone to pick with the people in charge of men’s fashion… who the heck decided that the men’s versions of yoga pants had to have a bunch of ridiculously stitched seams up and down the legs at various weird and connecting angles? Why do women get pants that have seams where they belong (the inner thighs) but when men want pants like this ours look (and feel) like jigsaw puzzles? Who thought “you know what would look and feel better for men? More stitching!” Please find that person and tell them they are wrong. The excessive stitching looks bad and is irritating as all heck on the skin.

I seriously would have bought women’s yoga pants if the crotches/fits we’re cut the same. Since they aren’t I had to look far and wide for men’s “compression” pants that had the seams and stitching just like women’s yoga pants do. These fit the bill… stitching only inside the leg and up the “crack”… basically where the stitches actually belong on pants.

I’m a dad bod guy these days but trying hard to get back in shape again and I wanted any advantage I can get to help my legs recover faster. Whether these actually work for that or not is highly debatable, but the truth is I love the way these look and feel on me, and so does my wife. She always loves it when I wear my “men’s yoga pants”. If I’m jogging I wear shorts over them as to not give strangers too much of a look at my “stuff”, but any workouts in the home gym I just put these on with a t-shirt and just go to work. They feel great and we both like how I look in them.

The only issue I have with them is an unfortunately placed size tag (right at the top of your “crack” where it would be irritating and uncomfortable), but if you have a seam ripper or small knife you can remove them without damaging the other stitching.

Viva men’s spandex yoga pants! Without the useless and uncomfortable jigsaw stitching all over them. These things rule.

Great looking tights. Just recommend a size larger then you normally wear.

I’m a grappler and I usually spend $50 on spats. These are budget friendly and very comfortable. The fit is perfect. Thank you!

In short: they offer NO compression whatsoever. Which is not necessarily a bad thing/deal breaker (it isn’t for me), but that depends of what you’re actually looking for. See, I followed the manufacturer’s sizing chart which steered me towards Large (for a 5’7, 165 lbs guy), which is a good two sizes larger than what I normally wear (Small), and while I can honestly say that I am quite happy and pleased with the product I received (good quality, nice look, etc.), I can also honestly say that at this size, these pants/leggings offer me NO compression at all. (Oh, and by they way, these pants are just ankle long for me, not above or below!)

The funny thing is, they don’t feel “too big”, actually, they don’t even feel “big” at all, but rather extremely comfortable and adequate for my size. Neither do the 3/4 leg leggings I also got, they feel just slightly loose, but extremely comfortable. But the shorts on the other hand…. do feel a bit looser than I would have hoped for….

After physically comparing them, I can now confirm that all 3 versions (full leg, 3/4 leg, shorts) are cut much in the same way. So where does the inconsistency come from, then? Am I imagining things? Nope, and it took me a few months of wearing all these to finally figure it out: it’s not that the pants/leggings are cut differently, it’s that the fabric reacts differently in different scenarios: in the the full leg and 3/4 leg versions, by virtue of being longer and having to cover a greater area, the fabric is somewhat stretched beyond its “natural length”, and this tends to nullify any “sagging” effect that I would otherwise feel.

But that is NOT true for the shorts, which cover a smaller area and therefore do not stretch in the same way. What happens then is that one can actually feel the fabric somewhat “sagging”, and consequently a definite difference in the fit, which feels looser even if they are the same size.

As I mentioned in other reviews, I was shooting for comfort over compression, so from that point of view, these pants are a total hit for me! Buying compression apparel can be quite a tricky experience: go too large and you’ll look like a half empty sack of potatoes, go to small and you’ll look “salame tight” and to be honest, neither alternative particularly appeals to me. That’s why I originally chose to err on the side of caution and ordered Large. But if you’re looking for compression, then going with the sizing chart might not be the best choice: I’d say order one size up from what you’d normally wear, or if you’re feeling particularly adventurous/confident and crave for TRUE compression, then order your normal, natural size.

I myself am entertaining the possibility of ordering a pair of Medium pants as an experiment, just to see how it goes, but I’m a bit hesitant since I’m mostly pleased with how my Large ones fit me, and I really dread the idea if going overboard into “salame tight” territory…. but if I do get a pair of Medium ones, I’ll make sure to write about it!

Due to some hip issues, there are times where I will wear a pair of these to sleep in. They are very comfortable and help to reduce swelling. I wash these in the dryer, but hang them up to dry. This is my third purchase and they really last a long time by not putting them in the dryer. Although these are listed for men, I am a woman and find they fit well.

I recently purchased the DRSKIN Men’s Compression Pants and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!

    What I Loved:

Excellent Quality: The fabric is durable and feels great against the skin. They hold up well after multiple washes and maintain their shape and elasticity.

Comfortable Fit: The compression is just right—not too tight but enough to provide support during workouts. I’ve worn them for running and weightlifting, and they performed excellently in both.

Great Value: Whether you choose the 5, 4, 3, or 1 pack, you get an incredible deal for the quality provided. It’s hard to find compression wear at this price point that performs this well.

    Overall Impressions:

DRSKIN Men’s Compression Pants are a fantastic investment for anyone looking for high-quality compression wear at an affordable price. I highly recommend these for both casual wear and intense workouts!

Great pants. Very comfortable and reading the reviews helped on size because I went one bigger and perfect fit. 5.10ft and 78kg and size large is great.

Comfortable to wear and not tight and I have fun participating in Jui Jitsu classes and confident. No rashes or pain when I have these on.
