Everything works very well except for the wireless carplay. It struggles and lags often. Going to just use it wired.

My old stereo had Bluetooth but not Apple/android CarPlay; therefore I upgraded with this unit. I absolutely love this unit. Is it perfect? No, but for the price; this is a GREAT buy! Apple car play and Android auto work great. During phone calls people sometimes ask me to repeat myself, but I think that’s more my loud car not the unit. The only potential con is the time it takes to power on. The loading screen takes a few seconds to get to the Home Screen. Also the mounting bracket didn’t work for my car. (Wasn’t a deal breaker)

Bought the stereo for a 2011 FJ cruiser. There was nothing easy about the installation at all. After spending more then $200 on harness kits, SWC kits and reading many, many posts online I was able to finally get the stereo to work including carplay. SWC (Steering Wheel Controls) is still work in progress as is the JBL subwoofer. Sound quality is ok so far. It could cost close to $500, including the stereo, after all is said and done. will keep everyone posted (02-08-24 update)

This syncs faster than my other vehicles that are actually equipped with Apple car play. Sound quality is decent and install was easy, highly recommend getting an adapter specific to your vehicle for easy installation.

El estéreo cuenta con todo lo que menciona a su descripción. Lo volvería a comprar.

The unit is fine, but has some quirks for sure..
First, installation instructions were lacking. The documentation online helped.
The unit is beautiful and looks great in the yukon (2007-2013). The install kit was a must.
With a swc kit it interfaces wonderfully to the cars steering wheel and rear control.
The included microphone was easy to install on the a pillar for phone calls and does a reasonable job canceling noise, but I don’t see a way to adjust gain so you kinda have to shout.
And then the bad stuff:
Has difficulty switching between carplay and android auto.
No ability to “designate” a primary or priority device so when my wife and I get in the car it tends to always pick apple before android and that’s super frustrating because she has to then turn off wifi and Bluetooth on her phone before I can connect.
Sometimes the system is just muted and doesn’t unmute unless you press and hold the onstar button and then cancel onstar.
The screen is a bit too reflective and at the angle installed in a 2007-2013 yukon it catches a lot of light from street lights while you drive.
Updated 4 days later. The unit freezes constantly. It’s unusable since the only way to reset after freezing is to turn off the car. Sending it back.

This thing is amazing for $200. The touch screen is not as sensitive as a new smartphone, but is still very adequate and responsive. There are so many useful settings built in, as well as very nice eq adjustments and presets. This head unit drives 4 6×8 75w speakers very nicely. When using Apple CarPlay there is a small delay between the phone and head unit, this is only noticeable if you are trying to watch a video on your phone with car audio, although that could be CarPlay itself, or the fact I use it with my phone wirelessly. The head unit takes only a few seconds to boot up straight into CarPlay. I wish this head unit had a knob for volume instead of individual buttons. At night, I find the screen to be a little too bright with the night-brightness turned as low as it could go. Many of the issues I have are very nit-picky, but let’s be real, for $200 I can forgive them.

Easy to use, great sound quality, easy to install, you get a lot for what you pay.
I’ve been using this for a couple years now, Android Auto is very glitchy. When it does connect, half the time, volume up or down won’t work, sometimes you won’t get sound at all. Bluetooth gets disconnected sometimes. This would be a great unit, if it wasnt because the software is very glitchy, it looks good, it sounds loud but, that’s only when you can get it to work. Very Disappointed!! Pay a little for something better. You will regret it down the line, unles I got a defective unit.
