Stereo works perfectly. Easy to handle. Camara works Ok; nonetheless, resolution is not the best. I recommend stereo for its price.

Installed in my 1991 Ford F350. Perfect fit and adjustability for the awkward space to install a larger touch screen. Straight forward controls. Sound quality is good. Paired with some Rocker Gosgate 6″ door speakers, added some high output tweeters to the rear column and a 10″ underneath sub that fit perfectly under my bench seat. Now I don’t have to hear road noise. Install was easy. Paired with a license plate mount backup camera. Bluetooth works great!

I was looking for a radio that would give me bluetooth for my phone and a back-up camera. The main problem was my tractor only has the single DIN opening like in older cars.
This unit fit my needs perfectly! The Bluetooth and hands free calling work great even when working. The tilting screen is also a great bonus. For older cars and trucks this would be perfect.
The only thing I’m not happy with is the back-up camera image quality isn’t the best when compared to newer vehicles cameras. I’m going to see if BOSS have a better camera available.

The one at Walmart costs $240 without microphone and without backing camera. This one is cheaper and includes microphone and backing camera. I love that the instructions are clear. It also has separate instructions for the backing camera. All cables are labeled accordingly which is superb!!! Very easy to mount. Camera view is not the greatest but it is more than good. Android play and Apple Play worked well as well as Bluetooth. I don’t use tuner so skipped it. Works great with my speakers. My prior radio did not stick out of the dashboard so the sun would make it hard to see the GPS. This is the perfect solution for that. I turned the brightness all the way to 10 and can move the screen to the side and no more sun glare. The backing camera option has labeled cables for the braking wire that you need to connect to your car’s braking wire. Our car’s manual did not specify which cable that was- we didn’t care to look for it so we did not set up the braking wire which means that when you go into reverse gear, the camera doesn’t automatically pop up, you have to press it on the monitor which is fine for us. We could get a radio person to do it but not an issue at all, we don’t mind. Microphone is clear and mountable with double sided tape. All on all, very pleased 😀 will buy again for my second car.

Bought this radio in April 2023 as a replacement for my 2002 Ford Focus wagon radio. Getting Apple CarPlay is fantastic! Integrating all functions into one screen is awesome. No upgrade required for the 4 way original Ford speaker system since this radio has a small amplifier that is just enough to give those speakers lots of bass and power (not a boom level). It is connected via a USB cable so it charges while providing all of the other functions. Phone is connected via bluetooth, but the microphone is not very good. Everyone complains when I try to talk via the supplied microphone. Repositioned it twice to no avail. That would be my only complaint. My grandkids love that screen is movable and pull it around to them to search Spotify for their songs! There are USB connections for both Apple and Android and my daughter uses Android with no issues! All around, this is a great upgrade for older cars!

I was looking for a radio that would give me navigation capability/car play in a jeep wrangler YJ and this got the job done. It’s features are not comparable to similar pioneer or alpine units but it cost is about a third of those. It looks great and works well and the microphone quality is exceptional. I bought mine as a “like new“ unit which I thought was going to be an open box but turned out to be refurbished. It also came with a backup camera but unfortunately the backup camera would not fit on the jeep. Nonetheless it works well and I bought another back up camera on Amazon that works better with the jeep rear tag configuration.

Looked great installed on my 96 Bronco. I even managed to make a test phone call without issues. Professionally installed with the addition of a scosche wiring harness connector. 5 minutes later when I planned to get back on the truck and go for a drive to test the radio functionality- it came in and then shut off on its own, never to come back on. I tried the factory reset button and check both the radio and truck fuses and both were ok! . Completely unacceptable for a new (refurbished) unit. Thankfully Amazon was very responsive and is promptly managing my return of this defective unit. I may try again as the screen size and resolution seemed to be of excellent quality – disappointing that this particular unit may be a lemon. Returning it today ..

Wow, I am so happy with this. I have the 10 inch Ken wood for my Camaro so I bought this Boss for my Mercedes and it is so much easier to use than the Kenwood so far that is the best thing I have bought this year. It works so great with my Apple CarPlay.

I’ll start off with the head unit. The touchscreen is very good, much better than I had expected. The response to touch is quick and you don’t have to apply much force. The latency between touch and response is also very good, except for in the settings menu for some reason. Apple CarPlay works very well, the touch response is even better there. Everything else is about as you would expect it, nothing crazy for inputs, mounting is a pain (but it always is) and sound quality is solid but not top notch (granted the built in amp and equalizer are much better than any other head unit I’ve had before).
As for the camera, I have no idea since I managed to cut the AV cable in half during install.. but it does look like every other Chinese made backup camera on the market so I’m sure it’s fine, but nothing special.
Now for the hiccup, I’m not sure what’s caused this, but as I was heading home tonight, the screen refused to display the backup camera image as I was backing out of a parking space. I figured the ground must have come loose or something simple. BUT when I tried switching to CarPlay, the screen was still blank. Everything else worked just fine. Even the music from CarPlay was working, just not displaying. I then found out that the screen was receiving input from my phone as I could touch the screen to change songs, function, etc. just nothing would display. Turning the screen off/on, cycling the car, disconnecting the power from the unit, nothing worked. I finally gave in and did a factory reset and for some reason that worked. Hopefully this doesn’t persist, but if it does, i guess I’ll be seeing how good Boss customer service is…
Otherwise, I’ve been very happy and would recommend the stereo, unless this issue persists.
